Network Marketing: Red or Blue Pill?

I was laying in my bed last night masterminding with my multiple personalities(true story). We were going over all the reasons why most network marketers fail in their attempt to make any real money online or offline. One major problem new network marketers face is they have their normal, complacent life to fall back on. Most of them are tire kickers and when they don’t make a million dollars their first month they bitch and moan. Two months go by, still no results and the next thing you know their screaming SCAM!!

I started to think about the “outside” world and how it operates. I don’t know of such a world anymore. It really is like a hazy dream now. It’s crazy how many people have no idea what network marketing is or the internet for that matter. I remember almost 4 years ago now when I first was introduced to the internet. It was like looking at Playboy magazine for the first time as a kid. My eyes wide open, jaw dropped to the floor and instantly aroused(get your head out of the gutter folks!). It felt like the Matrix and I was Neo. A young man hating the 9-5 grind that possessed a special skill that agents already in the Matrix wanted. At that moment I was given a choice.

For those of you reading this who live in caves and you’re like “what the hell is the matrix” I got you covered. The Matrix is a film about philosophical symbolism. It supposes that in the near future, humans will be fed with false sensory information by a “godly” virtual computer which is the Matrix. During this time, machines will use humans as source of power.

Neo, the central character of the film, is a loner who is searching for Morpheus -named after the Greek GOD of sleep and dreams. He is also looking for answers to his longtime question – what is the Matrix? So to translate for my analogy, I was Neo searching for the one who could help me make sense what this new world I discovered called The Internet.

Morpheus contacts Neo just as the machines (posing as sinister ‘agents’) are trying to keep Neo from finding out any more. The right time comes for Morpheus and Neo to meet. Upon their meeting, Morpheus offers Neo two pills – one red and one blue. Neo is to choose only one pill. The red pill answers the question “what is the Matrix?” while the blue pill is just another affirmation to live the life that he’s used to. Neo was quick to reach for the red pill but Morpheus cuts him with a reminder “All that I’m offering is the truth. Be careful.”

The real question here is not mainly about pills or which pill you choose. The question starts with “how do you choose?” Choosing between what we already know and believe in, and the unknown truth can be very fascinating. The blue pill is everything that you have built your life upon. Here, you have everyone and everything you love and all the comforts that you have been used to. The red pill is the promise of truth – of better life but bigger risks and discomfort. With the blue pill, you go on with your routines – wake up at 7AM every day, go to work, overtime for 2 hours, back at home by 9PM, sleep. And this goes on and on. With the red pill, you have the chance to discover the truth that every individual is capable of being better than what other people think, that you can forget the routines, break conventions, and earn more! You can be whatever you put your mind to.

For a thirsty man like Neo, choosing the red pill was easy. It does not promise you good life but it gives you the chance to explore yourself more and become a better individual and not simply be one that society wants you to be. However, for most people who want to live in their comfort zones, the blue pill is simply the choice to live an ordinary life. Mere security. Nothing special. Absolutely scared to take any chance at freedom and abundance for the fear of failing deludes them.

So how do you make a choice?

We go to work everyday. We become robots of society. By limiting ourselves as such, we get our paychecks every month. We use our monthly income to sustain our daily needs – buy food, pay for the rent, send our kids to school, etc. – Clearly enough, these are the ones who choose the blue pill.

The red pill, as mentioned, does not always promise something good. However, it guarantees you the truth. These are people who are not scared to break the rules to try something new. They do not want to be stuck and so they explore better opportunities. Network marketers are individuals who choose the red pill. They take a risk, push themselves to discomfort, just so they could discover that one truth – that everybody is capable of being better if he or she chooses to push themselves further out of their comfort zone.

The rewards of those who choose the red. – The red pill is not a choice of huge risks for nothing. If you work hard, it can offer you a better and more comfortable lifestyle. More importantly, it gives you the chance to break the rules of society that limit you as a person. Individuals who get into network marketing are not only happy for their opportunity to make phat pay checks but possess the gift of serving. What makes them even happier is the fact that they are able to prove to themselves that they do not need to be slaves of Corporate America forever to build a good future for their loved ones.

What if we all had to choose the red pill when making the decision to become an entrepreneur(network marketer)? There would be no turning back to our normal life to use as a crutch to fall back on and your reason to fail(give up). The failure rate would be 3% instead of 97%. If you make a decision that you are sick and tired of your normal life and are looking for the true answer then you can’t give up. As long as you don’t give up, you won’t fail, you won’t be another statistic. Worse case taking the red pill and you have agents following you around trying to kill you for they don’t want you to find the truth to happiness and freedom. Those agents are your subconscious. Like I said there are some risk with your decision…but trust me the reward is grand.

For Neo and myself, the red pill completes our being because it provides the answer to a lifelong question. For individuals in network marketing, the red pill is an affirmation that they can break what the society dictates. You can earn more, and live a life of abundance.

Viral Marketing – How to Make People WANT to Promote Your Site

I’ve been hearing a lot about forming “tribes” lately and I must say I love it! On the other hand maybe it’s because Katie Freiling is drop dead gorgeous and I’m brainwashed(uh Hi, honey if your reading this, that was a joke she’s actually ugly).

My goal here is for you to take the necessary steps to forming your own tribe. This is a must if you want to create an internet empire outside your network marketing company. A great book I want you to read by Seth Godin is called “Tribes” is great so you understand the philosophy behind forming a tribe(plus Seth always writes with online entrepreneurs lingo)

At the end of the day, this is what sets the Guru’s from the not so guru.. This is the main focus of my business, I kid you not. I want you the reader to understand the power of viral marketing and how it will take your brand and business straight to the top. Don’t get it twisted it isn’t easy and it takes laser focus, and a never ending desire to always over deliver. That’s a big commitment but once you decide that everything you create is always for your loyal fans(not for you, I’m sorry but suck it up~ Us before you) you will have them syndicate your content on total autopilot. Ok, enough with that little rant, I have a question for you.

How do you know if your site is truly a success?

It’s not whether you’ve correctly optimized your site for the search engines, if you’ve gotten large amounts of traffic through Twitter/FB/YouTube, or if you’ve found the perfect Pay-Per-Click campaign. You know your site is really successful, if your visitors go out of their way to promote your site – without you bribing them and sending them fingers or toes in the mail. (Sorry had a Big Lebowski flash back)

Speaking of flashbacks have you ever watched a really funny Youtube video that you felt you just HAD to pass along to your friends? This is the essence of viral marketing: viral marketing is essentially getting others to promote your site for you, by giving either a strong motive or resonating with them on an emotional level (whether it be humor, shock, inspiration, outrage, etc.)

To make your traffic generation endeavors go truly autopilot, you want to utilize viral marketing – the power of the people – to promote your site for you. How exactly do you do this?

1.) Create something of really high value, that visitors may give away to build their own businesses. Marketers are constantly on the lookout for fodder to give to their subscribers, so if they can find a report of really high value that they don’t have to develop themselves, they’ll gladly pass it onto their lists. You’ll get some residual traffic as well, if THEIR subscribers decide to take a look at your own site. If you include affiliate links in your report as well, you’ll be able to get some nice commissions.

2.) Give your visitors a monetary incentive. Internet marketers are on the Internet to… make money. How might your visitors “get paid to give away”? Include affiliate links in your report, but instead of pocketing affiliate commissions for yourself, allow YOUR customers to get the commissions, or rebrand with their affiliate links with a rebranding software such as ViralPDF.

3.) Allow affiliates to earn 100% commission from your reports. This idea seems to go against the grain of making money – after all, marketers are here to earn a profit – but what if giving away short-term profits meant continuing revenue in the long-run? Your customers have an immediate incentive to promote your business, and these reports give your business exposure for potentially years after they’ve been written.

“I Suck At Everything, How Can I Make Money Online!”

Just reading that title doesn’t give justice to the way it came out of her mouth. It was like finger nails scratching the chalk board at school. Fifty different answers of how she could make money online raced through my mind as I was trying to block the words ” I suck at everything” from replaying in my head.

You see this was a free consultation I was doing for one of my potential clients. One of the luxuries of my coaching business is picking who I want to work with. Now before you turn your nose in the air just hear me out. Naturally, I interview every potential client to make sure it is a good fit for both of us. I have a list of questions I ask during every consultation ie; What’s your main goal, where do you see yourself in 1yr, what makes you happy, how much money do you have to spend on marketing, what are you really good at.. (STOP!)

Well, that’s what(we will call her Shera) Shera blurted out. I stayed quiet for 30 seconds after she told me to stop. I then asked her to explain why she thinks she sucks at everything. She goes on to tell me this very long winded story about how she has tried every possible way to make money online and only ends up spending more money then she is making. She was seriously at her breaking point.
In a nut shell all she was doing was paying for info product after info product. Consuming to much information and not applying anything she learned. This is the biggest problem for everyone who tries to make money fast online. If your reading this and that is you, please slap yourself, look in the mirror and yell “WAKE UP”.

You can buy all the training courses in the world but it doesn’t mean shit if you don’t understand what you have learned or know how to apply it to your business. You must have a clear plan on what action steps you need to take in order to see real results.

When you find yourself lost and confused that means you are not focused. Tim, how do I stay focused when there is so much information out there on how to make money online? Do one task at a time. So let’s say you just created a blog and you want to learn now how to drive traffic to your blog. As you know there are many traffic methods so you just pick one. Let’s say you pick article marketing.. then do all the darn research you can on how to become an article expert. One of my favorite places to go and I tell all my clients to hang out here every day is the Warrior Forum. This forum is the best damn Internet Marketing forum in the world! Every Guru in IM niche is there to provide nothing but gold nuggets to the community. But beware, you can’t just stroll into this community asking newbie questions or you will instantly be exiled from the community(well not really). Take time and watch how everyone interacts with each other and just soak up as much info as possible. Then when you see how the flow of the forum works then you dive in. Warrior forum is a great place to get back links and prospects clicking on those links(in your signature) when you provide great value to the community. This isn’t about forum marketing but wanted to make sure you know where you need to go to learn by the best of the best. Come say HI when you see me;)

I love taking on clients like “Shera” who have money to spend and think they suck at everything. You can tell them something simple and they think it’s the best thing since sliced bread. No no I’m not taking advantage of anyone but it does make a great success story when I transform their life and business. I don’t take on new clients unless I feel I can guarantee them success in their business bottom line. So if you want to make money online(the kind that will change your life) I want to suggest a few things.

• First take a deep breath and realize this doesn’t happen overnight and yes you are making a wise decision to give a big FU to being broke
• Find a mentor. No not your mom or dad. Find someone who is at the level of success your trying to reach(no not on your level). You must be realistic with the level of success your trying to obtain. I’m telling you if you want to make serious money online you need a mentor/coach PERIOD!
• You must set goals for yourself(hourly,daily,weekly,monthly and yearly) Without goal setting you will not be focused and without focus you will fail.
• Don’t multi-task! Just don’t do it. Exert all your energy for one task at a time.
• Visit Internet Marketing communities like the Warrior Forum to get great ideas and to mastermind with guru’s
• Don’t use drugs, stay in school and don’t cut people off in traffic.
